Dear Friends -

There is a crisp fall breeze in the air this past week, and my home already smells of apple cider and pumpkin chai from my Pura diffuser. In my world, fall has arrived. It is my favorite season, and also the perfect invitation to reset some of our habits and our environment.

Unlike January, which comes with pressure and lofty expectations, September offers a gentler kind of fresh start. It is a chance to edit, reset, and refocus so that we finish the year aligned with what matters most.

This year, three social media trends align beautifully with that idea—and each offers a different way to uplevel your third act life.

1. The September Reset

Think of this as a seasonal clean slate. Declutter your home, clean out the pantry, refresh your reading list, or recommit to daily movement. These small resets are less about perfection and more about creating space for new energy. Clear what is no longer serving you and add habits that nurture longevity, well-being, and joy.

AI Prompt: “I want to set one meaningful September Reset goal. Based on my priorities around health, purpose, relationships, and personal growth, what is one realistic habit I could commit to for the next 30 days? Please also give me a simple daily or weekly action plan.”

2. The Fall Curriculum

This trend is all about becoming your own teacher. Instead of enrolling in a formal class, design a curriculum that excites you. You might dive into books you have been meaning to read, take up a creative project, or explore a subject that sparks curiosity. The goal is steady, soulful learning that supports identity, purpose, and community.

Choose Your Track: Wellness & Longevity, Creativity, Purpose & Legacy, Relationships, or Curiosity.
AI Prompt: “I want to design my own Fall Curriculum. Please suggest 3–5 learning ideas and create a simple weekly plan I can follow this season.”

3. The Great Lock In

This trend takes the idea of focus to the next level. From September 1 through December 1, you commit to locking in on one area of your life—fitness, nutrition, work goals, creativity, or relationships. The idea is simple: rather than spreading yourself thin, pour consistent effort into one meaningful change. Imagine the impact of three solid months of focused attention on a single part of your life.

AI Prompt: “I want to create a Great Lock In plan for myself from now through December 1. Please help me choose one area of focus and outline weekly milestones so I can measure my progress and stay motivated.”

The Invitation

Each of these approaches, the Reset, the Curriculum, the Lock In, is about aligning your daily choices with who you want to become. They are flexible, practical, and deeply personal. Whether you choose one or mix them together, fall gives us the chance to finish the year with intention.

Personally, I’m locking in. First up is strength training. After years of doing nothing but getting in my steps, I have my first session with a personal trainer today. This lock in is long overdue, and it feels like one of the final steps in my two-year journey to get my health back on track.

Second, I’m locked in on building and launching an online community with my business partner, Greg Maddox of Cultivate Advisors. Together, we’re creating a space where business owners can connect and design life on their terms—starting with personal freedom as the foundation, guide and accelerant. From there, business and financial freedom follow (with the guidance of our tools and methodology), creating an integrated path to both success and significance. This is truly breakthrough work. More to come soon!

Your third act is not about slowing down. It is about resetting, refocusing, and recommitting to what makes life meaningful. September is the perfect time to begin.
